HARRISBURG – To help familiarize residents of the 8th District with state government-related information and services available through his legislative office, Rep. Tedd Nesbit (R-Mercer/Butler) will host two open houses during the month of August.

“State government encompasses so much – from transportation projects and consumer protection to education and health care, and so much more,” Nesbit said. “My staff is available to help residents find out more about a state agency or program, or to assist them with applications for a number of state programs for which they may be eligible. Even if we cannot directly help, we are able to point residents in the right direction for where they may get their answers.”

The open houses will be held on the following dates:

Marion Township – Tuesday, Aug. 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Marion Township Building, 2275 W. Sunbury Road, Boyers.
Sandy Lake Township – Monday, Aug. 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sandy Lake Township Building, 3086 Sandy Lake/Grove City Road.

The 8th District consists of the following Butler County municipalities: Harrisville, Portersville, West Sunbury and West Liberty boroughs; and Mercer, Marion, Cherry, Worth, Brady, Clay, Muddy Creek, Franklin and Center townships.

No pre-registration is necessary to attend.
