Lawmaker will host office hours for veterans each month
GROVE CITY – Area veterans and their families who are in need of specialized assistance are encouraged to visit with a veterans outreach assistance specialist on Wednesday, April 12, said Rep. Tedd Nesbit (R-Mercer/Butler), whose office is hosting the service.

“Many times, veterans and their loved ones may have trouble navigating the complexities of local, state and federal governments to take advantage of the services and programs available to them,” Nesbit said. “This assistance is designed to meet their specific needs, and I encourage any veteran or a family member of one to stop by for this help.”

This service, offered by the American Legion, will be available at Nesbit’s office on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning April 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Some of the services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits or the U.S. Veterans Administration.

Appointments are not necessary, and veterans do not need to be members of the American Legion for help.

For more information, call Nesbit’s office at (724) 458-4911.

Nesbit’s office is located at 234 W. Pine St., in Grove City.
